Montana 988 — Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline
Montana 988 provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the state.
All calls to the Montana Lifeline are answered by trained crisis workers at regional call centers. These local counselors provide immediate crisis support and are familiar with community mental health resources, allowing them to connect callers with the Montana 211 network and other local services if further help is needed.
- Must be experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress (or be seeking help for someone who is).
- Must be located in Montana (to be routed to state-specific call centers).
